Hello,
I have been doing a lot of research lately and am very interested in starting a career in radiology.
I've checked out the school here in my town and have decided that this is something I really want to pursue.
My concern is that I'm in my 40's and have spent the last 13 years being self employed and pretty much out of the new trends of employment and what is expected.
Are there people my age taking this program....maybe in the same situation? Or is it mainly young students just starting out? This is the only concern that makes me nervous, otherwise I'm quite excited about getting started.
Thanks for your input! |

I just had my orientation for my schools program, and I would say there were at least 15 out of 40 students that were 40+. I know one guy is 53, so you wouldnt be alone. |

The ages in my class ranged from 21 to mid-50's. From what I understand, many radiology classes have such a wide age range. You should be fine! |

At my school the majority are older. I worried about that too but after our orientation I feel much more at ease. ( I am 41 ). Dont worry about it and good luck |

Thanks everyone!
That does help me feel more at ease!
There's going to be an orientation in October and I'm really looking forward to attending! |
