I just found out I have to have an MRI on both feet. Are they normally done one leg at a time or both at the same time? Sorry if this is a silly question. I was just curious.

If by one at a time you mean on the same day, yes they can.
If you mean acquire the images of both feet at the same time, no they should not.

It sounds as if the doctor may be referring to an MRA RUNOFF which is a study that looks at the vasculature of your legs by scanning you with an injection of gadolinium (x-ray dye). if you are having circulation problems or edema or pain in your legs then this sounds more likely, but to have both legs ordered for mri's simultaneously would be very costly to yourself and possibly questionable for the insurance co. to cover....
