Questions which have bothered me for a long time...

1. Why is it that when i go through many papers, authors assume bias field (also known as intensity inhomogeneity) to be a multiplicative model and not additive?

2. Which segmentation method is most resistive towards intensity inhomogeneity?

Anyone who knows any idea please post a reply... thanks!!
