A student asked us,; How high do you have to hang the BArium enema bag above the patient? It was a question he had on an assignment. Does anyone know the answer |

1. high enough so you don't trip on it
2. just above the floor. you need a good start to jump on it
3. you mean that thing hanging from the celing isn't where it goes?

The more veritical distance between the bag and the enema tip, the more force the liquid will have as it reaches the patient.
Having done hundreds of 'low pressure' enemas over the years, I can tell you that the bag is hung where the Radiologist wants it.
