Are there wait lists everywhere?

Hey there.

I'm about to take my first steps down the Rad Tech road and have been reading tons of posts about people waiting for a year, two years, to get into the program.
Really??
I knew it was selective admission...but blah!!

I'm going to be at University of Hawaii at Manoa- Kapi'olani.
Anyone know anything about the waiting in Hawaii?
Going to a Rad Program Info meeting tomorrow...hopefully it will shed some light.
