All of the new release of Kodak CR are very good. I worked with many of them.

I havve used both Fuji in the past and Kodak currently. Both have their plusses and minuses. I would rate both highly and would recomend either. Right now I am a lilttle more partial to the Kodak

We have 2 Kodak 975 systems along with their ROP's and Capture Link system to link everything together. We have been live with them since February and have had great success with them. The technologists find them easy to work with and we have not had any serious problems with the system. Their support has also been good to work with. I would recommend Kodak.

I've used both Fuji and Kodak CRs. Some of the older Kodak CRs don't have the annotation features like Fuji but the more recent Kodak CRs are pretty much on par as far as user friendliness. Each are a bit different from the other when it comes to terminology (ie... S numbers and exposure index.) and screen menus. Either way you look at it though your staff will have to learn to use which ever system you get. There ought to be more important factors that determine a purchase.

Wyestar,

I have never used KODAK, but I do know that a facility down state from me, are having issues with it, and wish they would have kept their AGFA contract.

My faciltiy just got CR, and I was hoping they would get FUJI, but they got AGFA instead.

I have used FUJI for a long time in my previous place of employment, and liked it. I will have to admit though, AGFA is more user friendly then FUJI.

It is especially efficient in correctly minor errors of accidently scanning the right image under the wrong person.

With FUJI if that were to have happened, we had to call in our PACS Administrator to fix it, huge mess esp when it came to it happening during a trauma.

I'm now an AGFA fan! Oh! Another cool thing, AGFA makes this Trauma CR Processor. We have only one. It is awesome though. You can lay up to 9 cassettes and it runs them through one at a time, while your doing the next image for your exam.

Works out great when time is of the essence; instead of haivng to load manually and take them back out. Its like a carasel. Spits them back out nice and clean on the left side-where the cassette can be stored.

Hope things workout for the better.
