I have completed the pre-requisites for the RT program at Pima Community College in Tucson and now must wait until 2008 for entry. In the meantime, I am working in the Radiology Dept of a large community hospital. Does anyone know if there is a website that offers a listing of community colleges that have openings in their programs? I am willing to relocate for the right program. |

hello! Do you know what the waiting time is? You can go to www.RTStudents.com I don't know if that will help but I think it lists some schools. You might also want to contact the college and ask them if they know of any other colleges that offer the program. |

A 2 year wait isn't really all that bad!! I waited for 2 1/2 years, but during that time, I was able to continue at my old job & get all my general courses out of the way!! It's nice now to think that I don't have to worry about my comm classes, sociology, etc. That gives me time to really concentrate on my rat classes~~and LOTS of time is needed for those!!  Does your hospital offer any sponsorship programs? I got a sponsorship from my local hospital. They pay for everything but my uniforms. I owe them 4 years after I graduate, but that's OK~~that's where I want to work!! It'd be worth checking into, because, at least around here, having a sponsorship puts you at the top of the list for the next starting class. Good luck  [/u][/i] |
