I'm in my last year of x-ray and I'm graduating in March from the program. (Woo-Hoo! Smile ) Anyway....my clinical site I'm at currently is changing from CR to DR at this time. When I started there they had the same machine for 30 years. I've had to set everything to get an exposure and nothing came set for me. When I first saw it, I'll be honest, I was scare sh!tless. I thought "How in the world does that machine even work?!" After useing the machine I actually kinda liked it and miss it now. It made me learn techniques because there was no push of a button like most machines. It seemed like a awful terrifying machine but I learned to like it. I took pictures the day before they started tearing it out. I have no idea how to put them on here (or even if I'm able) but I put them on my flickr page if anyone would like to see what the coolest, most terrifying machine looks like. Razz

My clinical site has one dinosaur machine similar to that still in use. We mainly only use it for extremeties, and for IVP since its the only tomo machine. At first I was terrified of using it, now I'm used to it.
