There are very few jobs out there for R.T. I have worked as a Phlebotomist for 17 years and part of my job was training xray students from the local college how to do phelbotomy.. for years I watched as these people come in learn some of my job and graduated to find jobs paying way..... better than what I was making. Sooo I applied to the radiology program at the college near my home and was one of the 32 students accepted out of almost 500 applicants. I graduated one month ago.. took my boards and passed with flying colors thanks to the wonderful instructors I had for the past two years.. Now I can not find a job. I gave up my full time lab job to go back to school and I'm very concerned because there are so few jobs out there. even the hospital I've worked at for 18 years does not have any openings in the xray department.. I just hope this changes soon. I can't afford to go to school for another 2 or 3 years to find yet another career....
