I’m taking prerequisites right now so I can apply for a radiation therapy program in a couple of years. One of the prerequisites is College Algebra & Trigonometry. The math credit cannot be more than 7 years old. I took College Algebra, but when I apply for the program it will have been 8 yrs since I took that course. The prereq info states that it has to be taken within the past 7 yrs. Do you think that it is possible for the college to overlook that one year past deadline & I can still be eligible? Or will I have to take College Algebra all over again? Has anyone had experience with this before? Please help! I don’t want to call the school and just speak to someone that will just give me the “general policy” info.

The first time was in the shower, the water was really hot, and he had a space heater on also.
The second time he was at school rehearsing for a winter concert, it was really hot in the room, he was doing alot of moving around. He only passes out for about 10 seconds, and he is completely normal afterwards. These are the only 2 episodes. After the first time, we took him to the doctor and they ran blood work, cat scans, heart monitors, chest exray, and even a pediatric cardiologists looked at him, and everything has come back normal. Does anyone have any helpful thoughts?

He has had this problem off and on for about 6 months now he vomits mucas often and is woried about going to school when his stomach hurts because he is embarrased to vomit at school. His lungs never sound bad when we are at the dr’s but his dr said they sounded fine when he had the pneumonia. any ideas would be great.

I have a friend who would like to pursue a career in the radiology field. He says he will do a 1 year certification and get a job in the field. I looked up the pay and its /hr. so that is about 8 a day and 0 a week (assuming 8 hour shifts). This is about 00 a month and this is BEFORE taxes. After taxes i am guessing it will be about 00 even.. I pointed out to him that that is not even enough to live on and he will be sinking probably OVER ,000 into school.

He insists he will make more and I am wrong about these figures. I dont see that happening.

MY QUESTION: Does anyone know what the average and MAX pay is for a 1 year certification in this field (LIMITED RADIOLOGICAL TECHNICIAN). He lives in Texas now and wants to relocate up north so if you know average /MAX salary by region that is helpful. Thanks.

My son is 6 and screams and crys worse than I have even seen him do. He complained alot of his stomach hurting since fall but only at bed time. I took him then to e.r. and they said nothing was wrong. Then last week it came back after he had stopped complaining for a month or 2. Friday and each night since has been horrible I took him back to e.r. on saturday they tested urine, x-rayed, and blood work. They told me all they could come up with is growing pains. He has vomited once everynight since Friday. Bowel movements and all that are normal. I took him to a doctor today who has him schudelued for a cat scan tomorrow at Children’s Hospital. He wants and goes to school and is fine till he gets home. But he dosen’t do anything but lay around he is usually glued to video games or something. Has anyone ever went through anything like this or have any suggestions?
