I’m interested in being an MRI tech and i want to know all the details. Someone told me that there is an 18 month course and after the school is over they place you in an office to work at. is this true? Please give me as much information about being an MRI tech as possible. Thank you.
better career prospects? pay? relocation ? anyone in either of these two careers
What courses do you have to take in college to get accepted into the x-ray/MRI training program? How difficult is the training? and how hard is it to find a job after you’re finished?
Thanks in advance.
my question is a little vague so allow me to elaborate. there is a college by me that offers x-ray tech degrees and i was just curious if i want to specialize in MRI’s do i need to take any special classes during college? is it a completely different degree? or is it something you get after graduating college and the hospital or whoever is your employer sends you for it? also are x-ray tech or MRI specialist jobs in high demand? or is it a hard to land a job at a hospital?
will be attending radiography school, but was wondering if i should look into attending MRI programs, or is cross level on the job training just as good? eventually i definetly want to be in the Magentic Resonance Imaging field and would like to know the best way to go about it?
I’m looking to change careers into the medical field and I am very interested in being a MRI, CT, or Xray tech. However I can not quit my full-time day job because it does pay me good money. Any ideas?
