After you pass the ARRT and become certified as a Radiologic Tech, how long is the on the job training for CT or MRI? Can the training be completed in a few months?

I have reasearched about ultra sonographer schools and understood that i have to get a bacholor’s degree and then do the certifications but i found another school in the area which offers the program for 18 months and they will prepare for tha ARDMS and AART exams..are these the only certifications i need for this specific job title?
which pays more and which one is more intresting sonoraphy or MRI technolist?

Does job shadowing a MRI radiologic technologist sound fun/cool?

I’m thinking about doing it at a hospital, since I volunteer there, I have connections.
Also, do you think I could possibly network during the job shadowing day and maybe land a internship as a high school junior for my next semester of school?

I am in a medical club at school and I’m in a medical class as well.

Could that be possible?

I am very interested in becoming a Radiology Technologist. There is a school here in Baton Rouge that is through the Baton Rouge General Hospital. I graduated high school with a good GPA but did not complete any college prep classes. What all do I need to get together before applying for RadTech school?

Hi. I am looking into becoming a rad tech and I have a question. I was looking everywhere and it says that it is a certificate. Where I am looking in going to school it is an associates degree or you can get a bachelors but i see that a bachelors is only necessary if you want to teach it. My question is…is getting an associates degree in rad tech better than having the certificate? Is there any difference? Also…what are the chances of me getting a job after completing schooling?

Also….if you can help…how do I go about going into radiation therapy or Nuclear med tech afterward? I think it is a one year certificate after. Thank you.

I have decided to go back to school to become a radiation technologist and I want to take online classes. Can u guys tell me a few colleges I can look up that has this program? If there is some radiation techs. out there please give me any feedback about this program I would love to hear more about this program, because when I read up on this career…I felt like I wanna go for it and do what I have to do, because it sounds like a great career. Difference between Radiologist, and Radiation Technologist?

I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I recently applied to a few different schools for what I thought was the same program. One school has “Radiation Technology”, another has “Radiography” and the other has “Radiation Therapy”. What is the difference?!
