Should I quit my job to clean toilets?
(this is no joke about cleaning toilets. My Country forces people to take any possible job and there are a lot of cleaning vacancies,)

I’ve decided to go back to school to get my Bachelor’s degree and have worked in healthcare for 10 years. I currently work as a Radiation Therapist and have an AAS in Medical Radiography.

Should I go for the BS in Medical Imaging & Therapy or BS in Public Health? I want to go on to get my Master’s in Healthcare Administration once I get my Bachelor’s degree.

Which would be the best choice with the MHA in mind? I don’t want to be limited to just the Radiology field forever that’s why I thought of the public health. Any other ideas?

I will be going to NAU.

i have always been interested in animals. i couldn’t take seeing animals in pain. i want to go into the vet. area and learn to study medicine for animals. though i know i must learn more things before i can get my DVM (degree of veterinary medicine). it takes about 6 years. though i started setting goals and things. i would like to attend the texas a&m university which majors in veterinary medicine and biomedical science. i’ve started studying my requirements and about anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, radiology, anesthesiology, and toxicology. i’ve also started studying types of breeds of cats. i would also like to know how to get over my fear of blood. i kinda get all yucky looking when i see blood and i am trying to get over. another thing is i would like to know how to raise my skills of talking to people. im barely in 8th grade but i know there is more things i must learn but i just don’t know what yet. if anyone could help me so i can know that would really help?

Once I transfer, I’d like to major in social work specializing in child and family services. My problem is I don’t have any idea what I’m going to get my associates in. The Community College offers:

          o Accounting
o Business Administration
o Hospitality and Tourism Managment
o Animation and Graphic Game Programming
o Computer Engineering Technology
o Information Technology
o Early Care and Education for Young Children with Disabilities
o Early Childhood Education
o Education
o Animation and Graphic Game Programming
o Architectural Engineering Technology
o Computer Engineering Technology
o Electronic Engineering Technology
o Landscape and Environmental Design
o Manufacturing Engineering Technology
o Mechanical Engineering Technology
o General Studies
o Dental Hygiene
o Health Science
o Nursing
o Paramedic Emergency Medicine
o Radiation Therapy
o Radiologic Technology
o Addiction Counseling
o Human Service
+ Human Service Option
+ Mental Health Option
+ Gerontology Option
o Criminal Justice
o Paralegal Studies
o Liberal Arts concentration in English, Arts and Sciences, or Human Behavior
If anyone knows what a social worker should get their associates, that would be so helpful.
Thank you so much!

i’ve been mentally unstable for the past 6 months and i’m in the process of being treated through a treatment center (under UC DAVIS, California). however, my insurance is does not cover this treatment center. i will be having therapy and possibly be put on meds, but, there is a catch. all of this (therapy/medication) will be free if i participate in a research study. this research includes tests (such as games to see how the mind works), MRI’s, and blood drawing. i don’t see why i shouldn’t participate in this. i mean, it’s free, right? so why not? also it’s under UC DAVIS, so it has to be legit? i just want to know if i’m making the right choice. i just want input from people who have experience with treatment centers/psychiatrists/medication. thanks!

I just got a STAND UP MRI done today. It took about 20 mins. The technician said I did an awesome job and that I didn’t really move much even though I was trembling and very nervous. I’m claustrophobic. I couldn’t do the closed or open MRI. They said the results should be in by Monday. But I’m so anxious to know. I’m afraid they will tell me I’ll be living in a hospice soon and that i’, dying. I have to see the neuro on Wednesday so i know that the results should be in by then. It hasn’t been diagnosed yet but I am too much of a hypochondriac and I try to be rational about things but I just can’t help it. I’m supposed to be going to psych tomorrow. I don’t really like to take any medications because I’m afraid of side effects. I don’t want to have 1 thing and then mess up the other. So I avoid meds at all cost unless I’m really like dying. Like these headaches I’ve been having constantly.

I had a ct scan done about a month ago because my headaches were just so intense. The ER department said I shouldn’t be worrying about anything. There was no tumor, no bleeding, no injuries. I’m scared that after this MRI they’ll see something they might have missed.

Hypochondria is messing up my life. Just 2 days ago I thought my dog had rabies because he had foam in his mouth. But he’s still eating and drinking water after all his walks. Dogs with rabies foaming at the mouth usually die within days and they are very aggressive and i guess they lose their appetite. his mouth mostly froths when we go outside. He loves going outside and gets toooo excited! but he has never been bitten by another dog or has contact with other dogs he is very shy we’re working on that. but I assumed that because his mouth was frothing he had rabies and that i had it too and that explained my headaches and all the problems i’ve been having.

SIGH. I’m just trying to relax. maybe tomorrow I can tell the psychiatrist. I don’t really want to take any anti-anxiety medication. but i need help. I can’t be afraid forever. and all this just started after I started working at a hospital and had to quit because I thought I’d get everything my patients had and thats why they enforced precautions. I’m always thinking everything is a conspiracy. I need a shrink.

I’m at a point in my life where I kinda don’t know what to do, and I think asking other people who don’t know my personal situation might help me.
My mom has been re-diagnosed with cancer. She’s been battling cancer for 18 years now. It has went from breast cancer, to returning back in her sternum, to curing that, and it now returns in her hip bone.
I’m currently 20 years old, a college student with one semester left until I graduate one degree, but have perseverance to pursue another. My boyfriend who I have been with for over 3 years now is 25 and has been watching a child. I’ve been putting it off simply because of school. I’m extremely motivated about school and I worry that a child will get in the way of that. I do want children, but I guess school is my only reasoning, and maybe timing.
With my mom’s new diagnosis, she really wants to experience having a grandchild. My mom and I lost my dad 4 years ago and I’m kinda all she’s got, I’m an only child.
Another thing is that the particular field I’m going into, Radiation Therapy, I couldn’t work being pregnant because of the radioactive material I would be exposed to. So, my question is, would now be a good time to have a child? Is there a good time? Am I being stupid about the situation? My best friend tells me, if she was in my shoes, she would have a child. I just honestly don’t know what to do. I understand my mom wants a grand baby and my boyfriend wants kids, but do I? I don’t know. What about school? I’m just so confused. Someone give me some advice.
