Does anyone know of any accredited ultrasound technician online schools? I already have a BA in Elementary Education and would like to also have a degree as a ultrasound technician.

I’m currently a sophomore in a traditional university at Florida Gulf Coast University. I’m a psychology major. Up until a few weeks ago, I was sure this is what I wanted to do. Now I don’t. I really want to work full-time and become some kind of technician online, I’ve been looking at Ultrasound technicians and Radiology technicians, and veterinary technicians. All three of these careers have online degrees available. I live in Naples, FL. My questions are:

1. Which online school is reputable that most employers hold in high regard?
2. At the end of this year, I will have 58 credit hours, will these count towards online programs?
3. If you are currently or have already pursued an online degree – what was your experience & with which school? Did it allow you to easily get a job?

Any suggestions are helpful.

PS (don’t have to read this) Also, I am going to schedule an appointment with my academic adviser, but I’m afraid the person will be biased. And I’ve thought my decision over a lot. The only school near me with a grad program in psychology offers only one in counseling with a K salary locally – with a masters, that is too low. I have prior commitments to this area that I am not willing to sacrifice to move for this career.

Are there accredited Sonographer programs for online study? What about Radiology Techs?

I live in a fairly rural area and am looking to persue a career as either a Radiology Tech or Sonographer. I have an associates degree in communications so I was wondering if there are any online programs for certification without having to take the whole associates program again. All I can find for online schooling have to do with Associate of Applied Science Programs. Any help is greatly appreciated

I am looking into taking courses online to become a radiology technician. There are a lot of options, but of course each school likes to call themselves the best, and they also like to call themselves accredited. I’d like to hear from some x-ray and radiology techs about their school experiences, and hopefully find an NEA accredited university with a good radiology technician program. Thanks!

I’ve researched it, but it’s hard to find. I’ve heard that there are some that you can get a degree online (i’ve graduated high-school ’09) and just study under the closest hospital nearest where you are that has the accreditation that is needed.

I want to go back to school for radiology, but can’t manage going to classes and work. Online classes would be more realistic. I understand I probably won’t be able to take ALL the necessary classes online. Just please give me a simple answer w/ some possible online schools if any exist. Thanks in advance.
