I am planning on attending cal state northridge in fall 2008 with a health science major- radiation therapy. After I obtain my bachelors degree in radiation therapy, I would like to apply to a two- year p.a. program school such as Loma Linda, USC, or other ones in California. Am I on the right track with my undergrad major decision to become a p.a. ?
I am thinking it’s a good idea to do radiation therapy at an undergrad stage because if all else fails and I dont end up getting into a p.a. program, I will have my degree and do radiation therapy.

Last night I was driving around and I was going faster then I should have been. Anyway I was going down a road that I’ve never drove down before. Then there was a hill and I thought it was a very long hill and I went to hit my brakes but ended up turning the wheel slamming into the grass part of a hill on someones yard. My car flipped and I hit my head on the top of the inside of the car, and the car rolled back over onto the road. Anyway I freaked out and drove for like 3 seconds, down the road. But then I got out and looked at the car, the back window was broken out, the front window was smashed a little bit. There’s dents on the car and a few things broke off. Anyway I walked back up the hill and found my license, and tried to find my phone. But I couldn’t find it and then I walked up to the house where I got into the accident and rang on their door bell but no one was home. Then I walked back to my car, and then just started crying and freaking out, because it was in the country and I didn’t know what I was going to do. Finally someone came and I used their phone to call my mom and call the police. My mom came and then the police, my mom told the police officer what happened and then she took me to the hospital. I got a cat scan and everything was fine, I’m just sore now but no big injuries. The car was tode. Today my mom, dad and myself went to look at the car and they took pictures of it. Then my dad and I went by the accident scene and there was glass all over.

I’m 16 and just got my license two months ago. There was an insurance thing in the car but the police officer took the wrong insurance stuff, because my dad had it switched and the old one was still in there. But they didn’t see the new insurance info. I just want to know what’s going to POSSIBLY happen? Am I going to go to jail, juvi? What’s going to happen?

I’m interested in going into radiography, but I heard the job outlook isn’t that great right now. If I’m really interested in it, should I just go for it and work hard to be the best, go to the best school, and hope I eventually find a job in the field?

I mean, would I probably be able to find a job within 2 years of graduation at least? I don’t mind if it takes a while, I just don’t want to NEVER find a job.

There is a school that is really hard to get into called UNMC, but if I could get in they have supplemental programs so I could also learn sonography and radiation therapy after I get my radiography degree. That way I can look for a radiography job right after I get my degree, and if I can’t find one I can continue to learn different things in the field so it would be easier for me to get a job in the future.

Should I give it a shot, or is the career outlook way too bad?

I have an associates in allied health, and will be starting the radiation therapy program through kaiser permanente. It is 18 months and includes a fair amount of clinical experience. Because it is a hospital based program you do not receive a bachelors degree. You receive a certificate of achievment. Will this affect me from getting into med school down the road because I need an m.d. or d.o. to become a radiologist.. I won’t have a bachelors, but most bachelors degrees don’t come with 18 months of clinical experience. I would be a board certified radiation therapist when I apply to med school.

My dog had a limp 2 years ago, I took him to a Vet who recommended me take him to a Veterinary Neurologist and I saw a Resident, after a very expensive MRI, he told me my dog had a tumor and his leg needed to be amputated

This was odd to me because I was almost certain of how his leg got messed up in the first place

However like an idiot, I went through with the amputation, and sure enough a week later, the lab results came back and they said he didnt have a tumor, and the resident apologized

I blame myself because I didnt get a 2nd opinion and every instinct in me told me he didnt have a tumor, I also didnt trust this Resident for various reasons, he seemed so shady and manipulative, like he didnt care about my dog, just his own greed and interest

I also never understood why I didnt see a Regular licensed Neurologist and just saw the Resident

I just get the feeling this Resident wanted to amputate the leg for his own experience or benefit, I even question the guy who initally recommended me to this place and was wondering if he knew he would help out this Resident
