Is EKG Certification a waste of money?

I am in sales and I want a complete career change. I am interested in health care but have no college experience or health care whatsoever. The community college offers a EKG cerification and I was thinking about starting with this. Is this just a waste of money? If i were interested in pursuing Radiology is this an OK place to start? im graduating high school in 2013, and i’m going to go to college. I wanted a carrer in the medical field, and radiology seemed really interesting. what I want to know is, is it a carrer that is expected to grow? does it pay well? what different jobs are in this field(so I can see which i would be more interested in), and finnally is it safe?

I’ve been going to college for 6 years (Some of the semesters that I enrolled in were very short in course load, my mother has cancer and my father had a few arterial surgeries). Recently, after my mother finished Chemo and Radiation therapy and another surgery, she told me to get out of college. Major in something that you like, and we’re going to pay for it.

So that’s what I did, I majored in History, after trying various paths (Business, Law, Bio, Math). I decided I needed to be finished with college because I was sucking money from them and not making a life for myself. Problem is, I don’t have the wildest idea what I want to do.

I am a very people oriented person who loves the social interaction of business entities. I enjoy most topics that deal with numeracy, which is why I was a math major (Made it so far before my sister influenced me not to get into teaching because it’s not that noble)

So far, I have less than 20 hours from graduation, 4 years in retail management, 2 years in Food Service Kitchen management, and no school debt. A bachelor’s of science in History, and no direction where to go. Most of my college career has been spent working and helping my parents, so my GPA is at a 3.42.

I don’t want to meet with a career counselor because I feel I’ll hear the same rhetoric that I’ve witnessed on the internet and through the Occupational Outlook.

Where can I get some advice or guidance? I’m only 23 as well.

Which is a better career, a Radiology Technician or an Licensed Vocational Nurse? Which pays better?

Radiology career, a few questions please?

When I graduate high school, I want to go to college to be a radiologist.
I was wondering how long i’ll have to go to school to do this? The minimum, and the maximum ( most years i’ll have to attend).
What do you suppose is the best school for me to attend?
I want to look at x-rays, be an ultra sound technician,things along that line.
