I’m a senior in high school, and I’m going to community college next year (not what I want, but my parents don’t have the money to send me to a four year school, and I’m flat broke). Once I transfer, I’d like to major in social work specializing in child and family services. My problem is I don’t have any idea what I’m going to get my associates in. The Community College offers:

          o Accounting
o Business Administration
o Hospitality and Tourism Managment
o Animation and Graphic Game Programming
o Computer Engineering Technology
o Information Technology
o Early Care and Education for Young Children with Disabilities
o Early Childhood Education
o Education
o Animation and Graphic Game Programming
o Architectural Engineering Technology
o Computer Engineering Technology
o Electronic Engineering Technology
o Landscape and Environmental Design
o Manufacturing Engineering Technology
o Mechanical Engineering Technology
o General Studies
o Dental Hygiene
o Health Science
o Nursing
o Paramedic Emergency Medicine
o Radiation Therapy
o Radiologic Technology
o Addiction Counseling
o Human Service
+ Human Service Option
+ Mental Health Option
+ Gerontology Option
o Criminal Justice
o Paralegal Studies
o Liberal Arts concentration in English, Arts and Sciences, or Human Behavior
If anyone knows what a social worker should get their associates, that would be so helpful.
Thank you so much!
