I think you are actually asking about the salary for a radiologic technologist (the correct term for an x-ray tech), not a radiologist. A radiologist is a medical doctor, who has attended and graduated from medical school.
The American Society of Radiologic Technologists just did a large salary survey, in 2007. The salary varies, depending on your experience, specialties and geographical area. To view, the survey, and see the average salary in your state, you can go to this link:https://www.asrt.org/media/pdf/research/…
    For example:
In Alabama, the yearly mean salary for a RT was $43,196. For a RT with additional licensing in MRI, it was $51,174.
In California, the yearly mean salary for a RT was $71,063. For a RT, with additional licensing in MRI, it was $83,145.
You will have to decide for yourself if this income can support your financial needs…..

Radiologist is a doctor so they make around $500,000 anually
MRI techs start out at around $50,000 anually
A Radiologic technologist starts out at around $45,000 anually, it varies to the area
