Do I Need Any Special Training To Be A Mri Specialist?

my question is a little vague so allow me to elaborate. there is a college by me that offers x-ray tech degrees and i was just curious if i want to specialize in MRI’s do i need to take any special classes during college? is it a completely different degree? or is it something you get after graduating college and the hospital or whoever is your employer sends you for it? also are x-ray tech or MRI specialist jobs in high demand? or is it a hard to land a job at a hospital?

Every MRI tech I know went through an accredited radiography program to become a registered radiologic technologist, then learned MRI on the job.
